Hannah (Lana Condor) finds herself trapped inside her boss Fin Gorale’s (Alan Cumming) subterranean biosphere named Evergreen, alongside seven of the world’s greatest minds. When Fin informs the group that an asteroid has destroyed the surface of the Earth, they find themselves – forced survivors – tasked with rebuilding society. As our characters vie for control of Evergreen, alliances form and fracture as heroes turn into villains. But when Hannah discovers that Evergreen is malfunctioning, can she convince the group to work together to fix Fin’s creation before the utopia that was meant to save them.. kills them? This show contains two podcasts within one channel. The first is the nine-part series Evergreen. That series focuses on a young woman named Hannah, played by actress Lana Condor. After an asteroid strikes the surface of the Earth, she finds herself trapped in a bunker run by her boss, Fin. That voice actor is none other than Tony-Award-winning actor Alan Cumming.
Hannah discovers that the area where a small group of survivors are living is going to fail. Will she be able to convince her boss and the others to listen to her before it is too late and the whole group perishes?
The second podcast is an anthology series entitled Hidden Signal. Each episode contains one or two stories that deal with speculative fiction. This refers to stories that feature technology that is not currently in existence. However, it could become available in the near future.
Fans of shows like The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror will likely find something to enjoy here. The writing is excellent, and the voice acting is great, so the listener stays interested. Those familiar with QCODE's other podcasts are well aware of the quality of their work. This podcast is the latest in a string of successes for the impressive studio.
